Minimising our environmental footprint

Commands is very aware of our responsibility to minimise our environmental footprint across all areas of our business and help our customers achieve their environmental objectives. We are working with advisory bodies towards ISO 14001 certification to ensure we are operating in an environmentally friendly way and complying with current regulations.
Many businesses we work with are already using our recycled packaging. We use FSC approved suppliers for our envelopes and we offer other 100% recyclable and reusable options for packaging and packing. We can also support customers looking to move to more environmentally friendly solutions by using our network to identify and source alternatives.
Our staff are fully-trained to separate packaging materials according to best practice guidelines. We are always looking for ways to cut down on waste. We work collaboratively with our customers to continuously improve in this area.

Direct Mail

• Polylope – both biodegradable or recyclable used

E-Commerce Fulfilment 

• Eco chips and eco friendly void filling paper are used
• Air cushions, sacs, shock – 100% recyclable & reusable, 99% air, EN 13427 compliant
• Biodegradable bubble wrap 
• Real time online reporting – cutting down the need to print reports

Training

• Staff are trained to separate packaging material

ISO 14001

We are working with advisory bodies towards ISO 14001 cerfiication.  ISO 14001 is an internationally-recognised certificate used to evaluate how environmental responsibilities are measured.
